Salzburg - Conference Destination of the Month

Rich in culture and history (it is the birthplace of Mozart after all) Salzburg has built an impressive reputation as a commercial and business hub.
Boasting breathtaking architecture, that blends grandiose Baroque styling with modern innovation, home to the headquarters of disruptive businesses such as Porsche, Red Bull and Sony the city is a natural choice for Pepler Lee’s Conference Destination of the Month.
Located in the centre of Europe, with a variety of efficient transport links to all the major continental hubs, Salzburg perfectly melds urban sophistication with the stunning natural beauty of the nearby Alps.

Pepler Lee can therefore create the perfect conference or meeting experience that combines modern conference facilities, in unique locations, with cultural activities and outdoor events, within the city centre or slightly further afield.
Conference venues
Salzburg offers a number of purpose built conference centres but at Pepler Lee Events, we pride ourselves on providing a unique meeting and conference experience that promises to delight and amaze.
We therefore seek out venues which will massively enhance your delegates experience, while providing the latest in audio visual technology to ensure your meeting or conference runs smoothly.
Hohensalzburg Fortress
Dominating the Salzburg skyline, Hohensalzburg Fortress is the perfect meeting or conference location.
Built 900 years ago the original purpose of the fortress was to protect the principality and the archbishops from hostile attacks. In that time, it’s never been taken by foreign troops.
Unless you feel it could provide an immersive experiential team building event (which we are more than happy to facilitate), your delegates will not have to fend off unwelcome marauders.
Instead they will be able to enjoy the multimedia Magical Theatre and modern media installations which the fortress offers.
Pepler Lee Events can arrange conferences, meetings and events of up to 250 delegates at the Hohensalzburg fortress.

Salzburg's Residenz palace
Dating back nine centuries the Residenz palace is another defining feature of Salzburg’s historic cityscape.
While providing a tangible link to Salzburg’s vibrant baroque past the Residenz continues to be used for state receptions, along with conferences and international congresses.
The halls of the palace, which can accommodate anywhere between 20 and 645 guests, provide a stunning location which will keep the most jaded delegate engaged throughout your meeting or conference.
Despite the venue’s rich heritage, the palace is perfectly equipped to provide a 21st century conference and event experience.

Hotel Gut Brandlhof
Just an hour from Salzburg Airport and the city centre, the Hotel Gut Brandlhof offers the perfect blend of state of the art conference and meeting rooms, set against the breathtaking natural beauty of the alps.
If delegates do not wish to travel into Salzburg during their downtime there is plenty to keep them entertained at the hotel, whether they are seeking adrenaline fuelled thrills or a more relaxing pastime.
Neighbouring the hotel is the famous ÖAMTC Driving Technique Centre where petrol heads can fuel every four wheeled fantasy; whether that’s conquering the off-road adventure park, speeding round the giant handling course or, during winter months, sliding round the large ice arena.
For guests seeking a more sedate experience the hotel also offers everything from tennis and bowling, to an 18-hole golf course, to the 3,000 m² Vivid Spa & Beauty area.
Whether you are looking to host a meeting or conference for 10 or 700 attendees, an event organized by Pepler Lee at the Hotel Gut Brandlhoff guarantees an engaging and rewarding experience.

Salzburg experiences
At Pepler Lee Events we firmly believe in mixing business with pleasure - when the work is done we provide an abundance of activities to keep you entertained during out of office hours.
Whether you seek alpine, culinary or cultural adventures we can find something in Salzburg and the surrounding area that will make your conference experience even more memorable.
The Great Outdoors
Adrenaline junkies are spoilt for choice with host of activities in the nearby alps, ranging from mountain biking, snowboarding and skiing to driving experiences and Salzburg’s famous 2.2km Alpine slide.
Alternatively, we could arrange a slightly more sedate sailing experience on one of the 185 lakes on the outskirts of the city.

The sweeter side of Salzburg
For those who prefer to have their taste buds tantalized there is a wide range of culinary pursuits to enjoy.
Particularly popular is the Mozartkugeln (Mozart Chocolate) Workshop, which takes place in the bakery and kitchen of the famous Café Dallmann.
About 90 million of the delicacies, named after Salzburg’s greatest son, are produced every year.
You will learn, how to differentiate the fake from the original ones as well as make them yourself.
However, if you feel the 40-minute car travel from the city centre is too much after a hard day’s work, we can arrange for Mr Mayrhofer, the café’s owner, to come to you at a location that’s more convenient to your group.

A trip to Austria wouldn’t be complete without learning about its famous Apple Strudel and Salzburger Nockerl.
Held in a highly unique location (a mountain!) highly experienced chefs will teach small groups - up to 15 delegates in groups of three to five - the secrets of perfecting these culinary delights such as perfecting pastry stretching techniques.
By the end of this experience you will have become a true strudel and nockerl connoisseur.

Music on the menu
It would be remiss to not include a celebration of Salzburg’s most famous son in an exploration of the city. Pepler Lee Events can top off your conference experience with a Mozart Dinner Concert, where you are transported back in time.
During a unique three course dinner, carefully prepared according to recipes of the 18th century and served in a candle lit Baroque hall, you will be treated to a musical program of Mozart’s operas, performed by musicians in authentic costumes.
